Feeling: Bad 1 2 3 4 5 Excellent

I'm entering my 2nd trimester! Hurray!

Tummy bulging, appettite better, hair shorter!

I just went for OSCAR scan 2 days ago. It's a scan for downs syndrome mainly. I took a blood test for HIV and others. Hmm.. why have I became so timid! I used to be able to enjoy being poked by needles (haha). I'm serious, I could watch the whole process and not shy away. I even went for blood donations in my sec sch life. I guess I have become older. Afraid of everything, even heights and roller coaster!

Anyways, I have to say I really enjoy having an ultrascan. This is the second time I had mine, and it was just amazing! While the doctor caught a glimpse of the baby on the screen, the very next moment Adrian and I saw was that baby was bumping! It was moving! Haha but I didn't feel a thing. From the profile of the baby face, I saw its features. It's got daddy's nose, haha luckily not mine, cuz I didn't have a high bridge. One of its arms was covering the eyes, so cute. Adrian and I can't wait to hold the baby in our arms.. Every after each scan, I always have this special feeling in me. I really can't describe it in words.. It's a warmth feeling. The only thing I ever hope for now is baby health in good condition.

I had a call from the clinic and learnt about baby's chances of being normal is more than 90%. That's great!

Boy or girl? I'm curious and can't wait to buy things for the baby..

Tummy Bulging!

Suddenly I felt my shorts really tight. I got Adrian to assess my figure and he mention my lower abdomen has buldged out! Oh dear, I have been lying on my tummy writting the blog, surfing the net and watch tv! I have to stop doing this.. And this position is my favourite when it comes to sleeping too! =P

Stretch marks horror..

I have seen pictures of some preggies with terrible stretch marks. I hope mine is mild. I recalled my mom having it, but still managable. I met Zen and Tricia yesterday for a nice lunch and chitchat session. Zen bought me Palmers stretch marks lotion from the states. Hope it works! Thanks Niki too for your concern! =)

Hurray! 2 more weeks to my 2nd trimester! Critical period will be gone soon..

4th Puke since day 1

This morning I had a bad dream. I dreamt there was a huge tiger in my house and I had to escape from it! It was so real I had to register myself after I woke up. It was a tiring dream though..

Well my mood was only so so today. After having soon-kueh for high tea, I felt nausea an hour later and headed to the toilet for the output. Guess baby thio didn't like soon-kueh.. Since then, my tummy hasn't felt right for the rest of the evening. =(
Scan at 8th Week

These scans were taken on 29th Sep, during my first visit to my Gynae with Dr Paul Tseng at TMC. I was at 8weeks then, and it was really amazing!

The First scan on the right showed the baby at only barely 2cm long! I have labelled the head and feet so its position can be seen. A living thing in my body! Amazing, isn't it?

The Second scan showed the frequency of the heartbeat. They were twice the speed of an adult's heartbeat. Doctor Paul actually turned up the volume so we could hear it. It sounded like horses galloping on water. The expressions on Adrian's and my face were just unbelievable..

My First Ever Blog In My Life..

My baby thio life began 9 weeks ago..

Baby Blues

Burp Burp Burp.. It's been like this throughout the last 9 weeks.

I felt really sinful (for my baby) this morning for eating ah gong's curry, but it was just too irresistible for a bowl of curry mee! Anyway eversince the news about melamine found in milk products, I was hesitant to drink milk everyday. Duh, especially when I learnt about the recent discovery of NZ milk product I was skeptical of all diary items!

I get hungry every 2-3 hours. If I allow my tummy to start growling, instead of feeling hungrier, I feel pukish. It's always good to have some crackers by my side. I really miss those days I can eat whatever I like, anytime anywhere. However, despite typing all these, I considered myself lucky as I do not have special cravings for any particular food nor do I vomit every after a meal. My morning sickness got better throughout the weeks!

As compared to when I was 4-5weeks old, I felt so weak that I thought I could faint anytime. I could not even drink a full glass of water then. I would always feel bloated, pukish, burpish etc.. That was really stopping me from my usual activities. I'm lucky enough I don't hold a full time job. =P

I had Sushi Tei for dinner today. My baby had japanese dinner for the first time. However I felt pukish after eating half of my oyako-don. maybe baby doesn't like it? But mummy likes.. hmm.. I had to step out of the restaurant in case I made a scene. Well I didn't vomit in the end, and could still finish the whole bowl of chicken-omelete-rice, gotta take it slow..

I always pray for a better day tomorrow, morning-sickness-free! I hope it will be gone totally!
